BotBrained is a software studio in Kokapet, Hyderabad, and a Shopify Partner. It designs and builds Shopify stores, custom SaaS platforms, mobile apps and AI products for businesses across India, and it builds and runs its own products. It is a brand of Shravi Technologies Private Limited.
Who is Smaran Challapalli?
Smaran Challapalli is the founder and lead engineer of BotBrained. Before starting it he worked in product at Paytm, Shaadi.com, Reliance and Best Buy, and studied at the University of Texas at Dallas. He writes every post on this site and is the person on the first call for every build.
The through-line in the work is systems that have to keep running after launch: a gym platform that talks to fingerprint readers on the wall, an inventory system that follows stoneware from a workshop in Auroville to a warehouse in Morbi to a Shopify store, and a WhatsApp CRM that Indian small businesses run their sales on.
